About me

I believe that pregnancy and birth serve to strengthen our connection to the Original Creator from Whom we draw strength, guidance, support, and sustenance.

I strive to support families to feel empowered in their parenting journeys. As a licensed parent and family educator, certified full-spectrum doula (pregnancy, birth, postpartum), and lactation coach, I help to educate and advocate with and for families in their most powerful moments of transition and transformation. I want to help people experience awe and wonder at what their bodies, minds, and spirits are capable of achieving in the process of co-creating life. I trust that we were perfectly created for all we are being called to do in the process of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period - whatever the outcome.

I acknowledge that we are living in a society that is not currently structured to support every body’s success. I believe in resisting the persisting systems of oppression and marginalization and crafting-in-collaboration new structures and approaches that empower and expand our collective possibilities - now and into the future.

Testimonials

Our family loves Nadia SO much! From practical education about the journey of the body and breastfeeding to the spirit and mindset mothers have the potential to tap into, Nadia is grounded in principles that seek to encourage women to be aligned with their purpose as mothers and birthers. Nadia’s entire approach to child-rearing helped me and my husband to feel empowered and confident in the decisions made surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! Her guidance and education gave me the tools to have an unmedicated, efficient birth and a 100% breastfed baby, both of which were goals of mine. Thank you, Nadia!!!

Breastfeeding has taught me patience, dedication, perseverance, connection, self-regulation, and empathy. Breastfeeding has helped me to bond, to be present, to pause and listen and hear, to question what is “best” for my body and especially what is “best” for my baby. But the greatest lesson I’ve learned from breastfeeding is ✨sacrifice✨. In the Bahá’í Faith, a Faith to which I owe my life, sacrifice is described as the giving up of that which is “lower” for that which is “higher”, to make something sacred. All of the lower (the scabbed and leaky nipples, time, the body, energy, mental health, diet, the pumping, the lack of independence, tiredness, work, a career, concerts, dinners, etc) can be given up and transmuted to the higher (one beautiful, healthy, contented baby).
